The back stairs - slippery when icy.
One of the bushes we planted last fall - safe and sound in a burlap sack.*and by "snow", I mean, a miniscule amount of frozen rain fell from the sky. Not such a fun walk to work.
Looks like we may get more later this week:

What, is Kentucky so "special" that it doesn't have to obey the laws of thermodynamics?
As a wise(probably) Kentuckian once said, "In this house, we obey the laws of thermodynamics."
Cold air aloft (5,000-50,000 ft) creates condensation and formation into snow as it falls through warmer air at surface (depending on surface temp and how high the "warm band" is) the sharp points on snow melt and the resultant "ice pelet" falls faster (makes it through the warmer air somewhat intact) through the air and hits surface in a "snow type" state (really just an ice pellet). The converse is rain at 25 degrees.
Snow with large particulate will start to form at 38 degrees.

Ahh yes, Trevor. I can always count on you for a scientific explanation. I get it now. (but that doesn't mean I like it. I want 20 and snowing like a blizzard - is that too much to ask!?!)
